It is time to begin preparing for Created 2 Play’s 4th Annual Destination HBCU Community Drumline Showcase and Competition. We would like to cordially invite you to this monumental competition, which will feature drumline battles and performances at the high school and
collegiate level, allowing the community, as well as current and potential students to witness the talent, camaraderie, and
musicianship that takes place at historically black colleges and universities and what better way to complete this task, than by having
your phenomenal drumline on our floor showcasing its talent .
In case you are unfamiliar with the organization, Created 2 Play is a mentorship program based in Augusta, GA that prides itself on
propelling the leaders of tomorrow into their greatness via participation in the Arts. The mission of Created 2 Play is to make a
positive difference in the lives of the children in our community by providing MUSICAL/VISUAL EXPERIENCES and performances that will assist them in achieving their potential as they develop confidence, cooperation, leadership, responsibility and standards of
excellence and character.
At this event, we allow community bands to showcase their talents in a room full of HBCU instructors and recruiters. We also have a three-way competition amongst the HBCUs that attend, to give the children a true HBCU experience.
